Synopsis for the Staff In-Service held on March 26th

Workshop:  The High-Trust Classroom

Workshop Description:  As we continue to grow through understanding our strengths and weaknesses and mature through this understanding, we learn to develop the character we must have in sustaining the life principles that do not change.  Participants look deeply into their paradigms through a review of prior completed self-assessments of temperament intelligence and as a high-trust individual. Teachers will walk away with a personalized “action plan” for increasing trust with students, faculty and parents.  The High-Trust Classroom, Raising Achievement from the Inside Out, provides educators with the tools needed to improve their relationships with students by building trust and professionalism.  The end result is a better classroom environment and a more positive educational experience, which results in better schools and better instruction.

Workshop Objectives:  At the conclusion of this Workshop, participants will be able to:

µ  Have an accountable stewardship of your responsibilities through conscientiousness

µ  Anticipate, identify, and meet the needs of others

µ  Have accurate self assessment by understanding your strengths and weaknesses

µ  Provide, for themselves, a roadmap to developing a high-trust classroom, a classroom.

·       With increased student achievement

·       With few discipline problems

·       Where students are intrinsically motivated

·       Where the teacher can confidently use creative lesson planning

A simple step-by-step approach to earning the trust of students, parents and colleagues is presented. A high-trust classroom will impact your ability to unleash the full potential of your students and to convince them of their own potential. It will also help your classroom operate more efficiently and improve student achievement.
